The last day of this URJCmun 2019 began on SOCHUM committee. The last session of the committee that yesterday had to face two breaking news.
This last session has begun with an unmoderated 10-minute caucus in which delegates from different countries have taken the opportunity to seek a final solution to the crisis.
At the end of this time, Banglandesh delegate and Dominican Republic delegate jointly presented the final resolution. This resolution has continued the idea proposed yesterday, the countries will come together in three different groups to provide different kind of help: reception of refugees, financial aid or help from experts.
Once the resolution has been read, the questions have been answered. These have only come from Turkey, who were interested in knowing if the countries participating in the aid would also receive aid but Turkey has been denied but this aid since this country has already received sufficient help from the UN.
Then the vote was taken and an absolute majority was reached for the approval of the resolution with a total of 21 votes in favor of the resolution. They have only positioned themselves against the resolution of Angola, South Africa, Turkey and Thailand.
With the approval of the resolution by absolute majority, the session was closed and with it this new edition of URJCmun 2019.
