Resolution 854 has been approved and humankind can breath calmly

Today’s session within the buildings of the United Nations Security Council was historic. The Korean War has been ended.

The Resolution 854 finally reached its goal of being approved, with difficulties, as all what have happened during these days. Nervous faces can be seen during the only session of today. India, Yugoslavia and the new-established Republic of Egypt confront the ammendments proposed by all the rest of delegations. France and Norway wanted to closet he Finnish boarder in order to approve the resolution. Even if this ammendement does not passed, they say the all-wanted “yes”.

But with all of that, fear was present on the room. Nobody knows what the USSR would do. Soviet delegation stated clearly that they would veto the resolution unless all occidental tropos move away from Korean península. Idea that was redifined when both fronts, Eastern and Western pushed until the point of having the Korean península separated in Oriental and Occidental part. This new way of repart created that South Korea had in his hands both Seoul and Pyongyang. Huge hit for Socialist forces.

But, at the end, what humankind wanted, was reached. Both USSR and USA said “YES”. Eventhough, they reserved some rights to themselves for the future. The península of Korea was finally divided again from the parallel 38, prissioners of war were given back to their homes thanks to Great Britain and medical care was given to all the injures.

Today is the nicest day to celebrate peace. Come on everyone, have a beer and talk about what have happened here, because it has been historic.

Korean War continues with no realistic ending

Long day that of today on the Security Council buildings. War keeps on being with an inexorable path to a complete destruction of the Korean peninsula.

After huge tensions reminiscent from yesterday’s sessions, troops were moving towards the South Korean territory. This gave the chance to the Socialist block to take the leadership, if it can be considered an honour, on the combats.

What began being a direct confrontation, concerning soldiers and military equipment, was followed by the complete demonstration of power of the United States of America: One of the submarines Type VII placed in Philippines was moving forward towards Okinawa. The purpose of the movement was to bring the warhead to Great Britain.

Western block movements were immediately counterattacked by the USSR ships on the zone, which blocked all possible flanks that the Occidental group had there.

Even with all these hostilities, we have to put into a huge value what India, Egypt and Yugoslavia achieved to do within the rooms of the Security Council. They were able to present the draft of a peaceful resolution in front of the rest of the delegations present there. Everyone was for this resolution, unless the socialist block. It seems that the resolution is going to be vetoed “ipso facto” by Stalin’s cabinet.

Coming back to the war, at the end of the session, press has had the honour to continue filtering delicate information, but also the disappointment of giving this kind of notices: After the open front created by the USSR in Sweden, both Norway and France had sent, in order with the humanitarian supply given to North Korean hospitals, both salmon and cheese in really bad conditions. This made 1200 non-flagged soldiers and 2000 North Korean soldiers get ill and, finally, die.

Also we were able to report that DPRK is violating human rights, huge affirmation that must not be taken as a joke. North-Korean dissident, Kim-Jo-Ping, had stated that 20 coalition soldiers (North American, French and South Korean) were being tortured by North Korean regime, with no possibility of trial, in order to extract them information.

This war is becoming more and more cruel, we do not know until where the human cruelty can arrive. This writer personally and the whole world in general hope this conflict to be finished. Koreans do not deserve that, none does.

Red troops are 20 miles from Seoul and the Security Council orders a Cease-Fire

SANTIAGO FERRADÁS

Troubled United Nations Security Council’s sessions of today. After the huge tensions suffered yesterday, the escalation of menaces between one and another just grew up. Diplomatic measures were the main tonic during the morning sessions in the building until the point of passing a resolution in order to not to enter troops within Korean territory for not finishing in an armed conflict. This resolution was able to pass thanks to the non-assistance of the USSR delegation, which made possible the approval of the cease-fire leaded by South Korea.

But it is not gold everything that shines and, when approving that paper, our sources revealed that both the USSR and the USA were moving troops throughout Indochina territory. Soviet recognition planes were flying over Shanghai and two nuclear submarines were detected in Philippines seas. It seems that the General MacArthur has not sufficient nuclear power with the Japanese disaster.

These movements were part of a even more deployment of troops, with the intervention of Australia on the south of the peninsula, China and United States of America on the East and the settlement of Socialist troops on the north.

And with all this movements, the must-be evitable was converted in an inevitable. The war of Korea exploded. Communist North Korean troops launched a full-scale invasion, passing the parallel 38º and going until the Pukban Mountain, 20 Miles from the Southern capital of Seoul.

The counterattack from South Korea and the Western block has not waited and demonstrate its “power” by attacking trough the Western part of the peninsula just at the same time that the North and Socialist block were attacking trough the Eastern Part, almost conquering until Busan’s harbour where Australians are.

The day that people never wants to arrive has become. Korean and, who knows, third world war, has begun and nobody knows what is going to be next. Unhopefully, the humankind has not learnt anything about its recent past.

Capitalist forces claim against military power of the USSR

Tensions were clearly demonstrated during the evening’s session of the Security Council. The conference, done specially to treat how to solve the Korean conflict, just showed how capitalist countries were more for their own will complaining against Socialist powers.

Western countries promulgated a bad-said peaceful way of solving the conflict. While France was asking for a diplomatic resolution to the struggle, South Korea begs for arms in order to produce rearmament in case of military movements from the north.

On the other hand, the USSR promoted a more grouped approach. Its delegation stated their support to all Socialist states who wanted to join the fight versus capitalism and those countries which represented the Westernization of the public opinion’s view. These attacks between both blocks were enormous and can be summarized in the affirmation of France, which stated that “the interest of the USSR and the USA have been demonstrated in Korea, taking North Korea as a Soviet province and South Korea as a new North-American state.”

Apart from these blocks, in permanent confrontation after the end of the Second World War, there was a third part on the Council. The third set of countries was composed by those which whether do not belong to any core part within the other two main blocks, as Australia, or they were former independent states, as in the case of India.

Eventually, after having seen all what have happened during the today’s session, it seems not to be a near resolution to such an imminent conflict as the one that is threatening the world’s future. The answer must be taken in the following three days within this building. The world must not fall again into a war of such calibre.
